EZ-Joint fitting system uses an advanced push-fit design.
EZ-Joint works as follows.
- A tube is inserted into the fitting, it passes Jaw
Holder, stainless steel Jaws, Spring, and then through
two O-Rings until it reaches to Tube stop.
- Jaw with four teeth opens out in sliding the tube
in, while it grabs onto the tube when the tube reaches
to the Tube Stop.
- Two O-rings compress between the wall of the fitting
and the tube, which prevent leakage. O-Ring1 first
block leakage and O-Ring2 also block any possible
leakage.
- As the tube reaches to the tube stop and JAW press
down to the surface of the tube and grab the tube.
When fluid starts to run through in the tube, pressure
comes from inside of the fitting to outside.
- The pressure pushes Spring back through the two
O-Rings, which press down Jaws and ultimately increase
the grabbing power of Jaws. The stronger the pressure
is, the more grabbing power Jaws generates.
- If push Jaw Holder forward, Jaw is pushed up to
the space between the wall of the fitting and Jaw
Holder and open up the teeth. It releases the tube.
